The Pearlroth house was restored to a state as close as possible to its original configuration and materials with some necessary improvements, such as foundational pilings and higher grade windows.
Conceived by COOKFOX Architects and executed by ROBOCo , a builder of modern homes in the east end of Long Island, the restoration plan was divided into three phases.
First Phase: June, 2013.
Relocation of the Double Diamond structure to a site north of the Coastal Erosion Hazard Line, forty feet away from its original location.
Second Phase: Fall 2014.
Restoration of the exterior to match original built structure and façade.
Third Phase: Spring 2015.
Restoration of the interior, installation of retro appliances, built in furniture and art.
